No embarrassing delays now. Within the space of a few days, Fr. Lombardi has rapped the knuckles of the 'Thunderer' (now re-named in this household as the 'Blunderer') over the supposed imminent gift of the Pope to Prince Charles, but more importantly he has immediately condemned the remarks of the Iranian president at Durban II, which occasioned a walk-out by several delegations.
There was a rumour after the condom uproar that Fr. Lombardi would resign from his post after the forthcoming Papal trip to Jordan and the Holy Land. Maybe not.....
