What a beautiful motet sung by a fantastic choir. I recall singing this as both a treble & alto as a boy chorister in the 1940s & 50s during the veneration of the Cross on Good Friday. Due to hear The Sixteen in October in Durham Cathedral as part of their annual Choral Pilgrimage.
To be able to sing a piece of this stature is a God-given privilege. It never leaves you; throughout life it makes your soul breathe and grow. Have a wonderful time in Durham.I hope the Sixteen sing 'Crux Fidelis' for you.
