Thanks Jane - that never fails to bring a lump to the throat. There were several old soldiers wearing their medals on the bus this morning on their way to the local Armistice Day ceremony. By the time I had returned from Mass all the poppy wreaths had been laid there - a beautiful but poignant sight.
