An Oasis in French, English and Welsh Catholicism.
JANE MOSSENDEW'S blog; dedicated to the support of His Holiness Benedict XVI through prayer-based apostolic action. Traditional ROMAN CATHOLIC and loyally obedient to his authority as Successor of Peter.
I attended a Pentecostal 'type' Church for a time. I really enjoyed their form of worship for a while, indeed I still do like a good jump up and down now and again. However, after a while, during prayerful worship, I became desperate to kneel. I realised I couldn't. They just didn't do that, in the church. Infact I could have stood on a chair, stood on my head and no-one would have blinked an eyelid. Yet no-one ever kneeled there, at least as far as I witnessed they didn't. It was the beginning of my return to my Catholic faith (there were other reasons aswell). I missed kneeling! So, before even reading what the Pope has said, I just wanted to share my personal experience. God bless Jane, I hope you are well. By the way, I still reserve the right to stand on a chair and praise God, should the Spirit move me, not in Mass, ofcourse,I'd go to a Baptist Church! ;)
