Spiritual Bouquet for Pope Benedict update: Rosary Garland for October 8th

A ROSARY GARLAND FOR OUR BELOVED HOLY FATHER - OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY OCT 8, 2008

Thanks to Ummblepie of White Smoke Ahoy, whose post about the Rosary on his blog inspired this idea. Please help to make this our first really concentrated bouquet to the Holy Father in time for Our Lady's feast on October 8th. We know how much he is devoted to the Rosary and I'm sure he'll appreciate our offering.

Please leave your contribution, 20, 15, 5 or single decades, in answer to this post or any others (past and future) on this blog. From tonight onward will be adding my own with Litanies. I'll collate the Garland on the morning of Oct 7th for emailing to His Holiness later in the day. This email will very briefly explain who and what we are. We may not receive an acknowledgement but you can be sure that Mgr Georg or one of the other secretaries will alert him to it and that's what really matters. I'll publish the full garland on an update Oct 8th.

Over to you, Flagship (Confiteor), fellow Armada captains, and my very welcome new ship's crew, Lindi and Grigori. I appeal to you all to alert your like-minded friends and relatives. Please encourage them to visit here or to make their offerings through you. Am going over to some French trad. blogs and sites to try and raise some French offerings.

With my prayers and thanks to you all,

In Christo pro Papa,

Jane

Offering up a single decade this morning pro Papa.

Also offering up to the Lord my annoyance at modernist bishops who equate Tradition with "nostalgia", so that said annoyance might be purified in the fire of Redeeming Love.

To repair the Flagship link:

1. Edit blog Layout.
2. Edit "My Blog List".
3. From the list, edit the blog entitled: "http://propapa-o.blogspot.com/".
4. Replace the current URL with this one (copy and paste for best results):

http://propapa-0.blogspot.com/

Confiteor:

Thanks for your offerings. I too will offer up my exasperation with Bishop **** in the same way as you are doing.

Thanks for the repair tips. Thinks it's done now.

God bless,

In Christo pro Papa,

Jane

Jane, According to my information, the feastday of Our Lady of the Rosary is October 7th not October 8th as stated in your Blog. I'm not quite sure where you got this date from, it is shown as the 8th in the'whitesmokeahoy'blog. It could be, perhaps, an instance of Anglo/Franco misinterpretation? This minor hiccup apart, sincere congratulations on all your hard work to make Our Holy Father better known and loved. WSA

WHA: You are right of course. In too much of a hurry to get the initiative off the ground! As Fr Z.'s spam words often say 'Think then post!' No misinterpretation. I'm native English, have learned my lesson and will be more careful in future.

I'll publish a correction with a hat tip to you and do pray you will contribute to the Rosary Garland by th SIXTH OF OCTOBER. or the later October general Bouquet.

Many thanks again,

In Chriso pro Papa,

Jane

Will be delighted to offer up some rosaries for our beloved Holy Father. I'll mention this initiative at our prayer group tomorrow.

Great blog, by the way, God bless you - and floreat!

Thank you for your promise of Rosaries. One day in, the garland is already looking good. Perhaps you'll post on Oct 6th to say how many you've offered, or day by day if you wish.

Really most grateful that you will introduce this to your prayer group. In spite of the power of the internet, word of mouth and pebbles in ponds are still a force to be reckoned with.

Welcome aboard 'In Christo Pro Papa XVI' as honoured crew!

God bless,

In Christo pro Papa,

Jane

Dear Jane,

I have e-mailed a link to this page to Catholic friends and hope it bears fruit.

I will of course pray as many decades as i can between cases and let you know the total.

God bless,

Grigori

Good morning
I will be offering a daily decade of the Rosary for the Holy Father.
As the only Catholic in a family of atheists I sometimes feel rather alone.
These blogs, and a weekly Latin Mass, keep me going!

A very warm welcome to 'Thoughts from an Oasis....', and of course as the latest crew member aboard my ship 'In Christo Pro Papa BXVI'. I will pray that from now on you will feel less alone now you are in our comradeship as we follow in the wake of the Barque of Peter, pitting all our strength behind her earthly helmsman, our beloved Holy Father Benedict.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ROSARY OFFERING WHICH HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE TALLY.

Here in the depths of rural France, I am isolated in a different way - very little access to even Novus Ordo Mass. It wasn't always so but has got steadily worse over the last twenty years. Needless to say, there is no access to the TLM, although there are promising signs which I intend to describe in later posts. Suffice here to say that the signs are not coming from the bishops but from the laity who have their own countrywide internetwork.

Please say one for me at your next TLM.

Thanks again and God bless,

In Christo pro Papa,

Jane

Dear Jane,

I managed a mere decade this morning on the way into the office, but please add it to your bouquet.

Jane,
Latin Mass this morning. What a blessing that is!
Said a prayer for you and also for Grigori.
Having read his posts on Holy Smoke I know that he has important decisions to make.
God Bless

Dear Mocath:

Thanks so much for the prayer and for Grigori too. Yes I think you're right about him ...I do wish he'd get in touch again, particularly if there's a problem.
Will remember you and him in my Rosary tonight.

Are you near London? Can you come to our gathering before the LMS Requiem in Westminster Cathedral on November 22nd 2 pm?

keep in contact,
God bless,

In Christo pro Papa.

I am in the North - nowhere near Eastbourne.
Today I am setting off (in dreadful weather) to spend some time in Scotland.
Of course, the Rosaries will continue but I will be 'off the air'.
Best wishes
