See WDTPRS in sidebar for the text the letter with Fr Z's comments.
Not really recovered from the Rodez appointment, the Archbishop leaves me totally speechless.

I can't find any reference to Archbishop Conti on Fr Z but Damian Thompson has it now and Linen on the Hedgerow too.
Don't know where it's gone from his post list, but if you google 'Fr Z Glaswegian Archbishop's hostility to the Motu Proprio', you should get a link. It's well worth finding and reading. Get back to me if you can't find it.
Following your link I've found the post dated August 2007 on Fr Z about the Archbishop's comment on the Motu Proprio. However if you referred to the letter mentioned on DT today then perhaps it has been taken off. Fr Z may have wanted to rewrite it or remove it for aome reason. Pity - I would have liked to have read his comments.
This is not the one he had up last night. This one is altogether more tempered. I think he must have regretted being so critical in the first reaction.

Fr Z has posted again since then. You need to scroll to his previous post. Yes, Damian had it at about the same time. Will look at 'Linen'.
Yes, Jane, 'speechless' is a polite way of putting it.
Have scrolled down to Fr Z's Sunday supper but can't see his mention of Archbishop Conti anywhere!
If I weren't speechless I should risk lack of charity!
God bless,
J

Yes, I think he must have taken it off. He closed the com box on it anyway.
It's a pity because he showed that ++ Conti was working from a poor English translation of the MP and not from the Latin.
It's back! Bonne journee Jane!
